It's fashion, "the more revealing the outfit the better" Like other games Guild wars seems to try and use female characters as a way to create sex appeal, which surprise, surprise is obviously working going by this thread.
A revealing outfit is -not- an excuse for crass and rude behaviour.

You dont have to educate me on something I already know about, but I might consider walking down the street naked from now on And wonder why people are being rude to me.

If people dont wanto be treated in a way percieved to be rude and crass then they should obviously stop dressing in that fashion.

I find it a giggle when females wear practically nothing and shove their head up in disgust when A guy looks at them and whistles, Ive been told apparently that is rude gesture.

To keep on topic what do you guys think the most played female proffesion is?
I would say female elementalist.

And another question, why do males play female characters?
Its the sex appeal right?

Samify can I join your guild?

I think female elementalist is fairly well played, yeah, but it's hard to tell really...

I am male and have a female elementalist, and I don't really care if people think it's good or bad, and yes, I use her because she's better to look at from behind than the male version. I'm going to be playing this game for X hours every day - I want something easy on the eye!! I do not play a female character, however, to get attention from others, it is purely because I like the form better than the male version... Some characters look better as males, such as assassins but some just look stupid. The male mesmer, for example, looks a little...camp....thus, my Mesmer is female also.

Also, If a male warrior walks up behind me, i just......walk away......even if he doesn't start grinding, I just don't give him the chance...

Several times I've considered changing my secondary profession just to dissociate myself with these compulsive dry-humpers. But I realized that I dislike the other classes as secondaries (although with Nightfall, I may go W/D or W/P, those both sound awesome), and that I'd be the bigger person if instead of just switching professions, I did my best to help show people that not all wammos are infantile noobs.

personally i hope that quite alot of the offenders are just being idoits because the amount of people that i have met that behave like a "wammo" (doing the grind etc) is astronomical and i find the thought that all want to "get it on/get it off" and whatever with your virtual char, quite disturbing.

When a chick wears very little, do you think she is not aware of the fact?

Girls, like myself, dress the way we want to be perceived. I'll go out in next to nothing if I want to be looked at, yes girls do like to be able to turn heads. What is NOT warrented, however, are wolf-whistles, "slut" comments, gestures, and "hands-on" involvment unless EXPLICITLY invited.

Markus, your statement is akin to the line of thought that girls who get raped were asking for it.

I'd prefer this thread not go down the "why do men play women" road, because I'm not a guy, I have no idea why, and theres about 1000 threads on it.

As to the other part... I couldn't have said it better Lady Lozza.

errm... why do you want to join my guild?

He just wants to be in a guild with girls, presumably. I know my guild is insanely proud of the fact that it has several female games. Don't really know why...

This thread's gotten a little on the serious side re: how people dress in real life, so to get back on topic. There is no advantage (or disadvantage) in the game for playing with a female character, so to speak

If people are honest with themselves, especially guys playing using female characters, then really that is all it boils down to is they want something to oggle at/like the look of (and attraction, when you cut to the chase is fundamentally based on sex appeal) - or they happen to be females in real life too, for the most part. Sexuality not factored into it.

Look, the gaming market is dominated by males - it's a well known, long historical fact. Even the very earliest games, which had nothing more than just a few pixels and blobs on screen... how were some of them advertised? How were the females typically projected on adverts and the box? You guessed it, skimpy bikini clothes, ample cleavage etc. Really, it's pretty naive to think otherwise.

I dare say it's a worldwide thing - women are often portrayed as just their body counts e.g. car shows, hell game shows even, t.v. shows, magazine adverts just about everywhere, particularly in Western culture. Why would GW be any different in that regard, it isn't. "That male warrior gyrating on my buxom almost naked female char! oh nos!" Give me a break... what did you expect from this kind of environment

i guess thats what this thread is about. you cant dress with the intention of beeing able to turn heads and still be treated with respect. well, you can expect it or even demand it, but its not going to happen.
whammos are everywhere

Markus, your statement is akin to the line of thought that girls who get raped were asking for it.
But I never said that did I?

Your just assuming I think that way, but you are clearly wrong, I'm just pointing out that this type of thing happens more often to the type of girls that dress in a perticulor way.

I didnt wanto make it serious, So no need to defend yourself. Obviously Im not the type of person to get offended over the internet so dont take me to seriously.

To samify.
As for your guild, dont wanto be in it have my own.
Just typed it to see peoples reaction, Girl power is obviously not the type of guild a guy would wanto be in, Unless of course its my brother or some young wammo lad.

As for me I like to play male characters, But I hate male warrior as their are to many.
Though I will never make a male elem due to the fact they are just plain ugly in my eyes due to lack of skins to chose from, hopefully one day they will have beards and long hair maybe then.
